Building a Nationwide Health Equity Movement

By Mats Delsing, MSc, Consulting Account Manager — October 20, 2025

Across the United States, access to healthcare is becoming increasingly fragile. This month, yet another rural town lost its hospital, leaving 30,000 people in rural California without readily access to an emergency room.

For more and more of us, compromised access to healthcare is either a reality, or a risk hanging over our heads. Within healthcare, many of us are asking ourselves: “What can I do in this moment?”

Finding hope and solutions through connection

At Advancing Health Equity (AHE), we believe that addressing today’s healthcare challenges begins with connection. Across disciplines, states, and backgrounds, healthcare professionals share a common purpose: to heal, to serve, and to make a difference. Yet too often, those most driven to create change feel isolated or overwhelmed.

Our work is rooted in dialogue and collaboration, because hope grows when people come together to exchange ideas, share best practices, and build solutions. That’s why AHE will be launching a national online platform designed to unite professionals and change-makers across healthcare disciplines, communities, and ideologies.

This new nationwide health equity movement will:

  • Foster dialogue between clinicians, administrators, educators, and community leaders working toward equitable care.
  • Share proven strategies and tools for embedding equity across systems, from policy to patient experience.
  • Build community through storytelling, learning, and collaboration that transcend geography and disciplines.
  • Mobilize action to strengthen healthcare resilience and improve access for all.

Together, we can transform health equity from an aspiration into a shared commitment, one that ensures every person, in every community, has a fair and just opportunity to attain their highest level of health.

We invite you to be part of this growing network of hope and action. Sign up for updates on the movement, and how you can join: https://forms.office.com/r/JGCuitUmXv
